First chemo treatment complete!

So many people have sent loving messages of support! Thank you all! Words seems so inadequate to express my gratitude.

I just want to give a quick update that the first chemotherapy session is complete! YAY! Everything went smoothly. The nurse, Nicole, who looked about 14, was so kind. I even had a window seat! There are ten chairs with window views, and several more in the interior in "pods." Apparently, patients rotate chairs and nurses, which makes sense.

I was so happy to have a window seat. The view of the lake is calming. It was grey, overcast, windy when I first sat down, at 9, but the sun came out around 10, just as I was finishing up. Loved watching the clouds and the whitecaps on the waves, the seagulls, and the occasional human running or walking.

I have drugs to take for nausea for the next 3 days, and also an injection for tomorrow that will boost the immune system. The first injection will be given by a community nurse, who will teach me how to do it for the future. Apparently, it is like an insulin injection.

I'm tired now, so will turn on the gas fireplace and nap on the sofa.

So much gratitude for all your love and support. I doubt I will ever be able to repay it all, but I will pay it forward to others.
