Thank you, everyone, for all your well-wishes and support. It means a lot, and makes the chemo seem less lonely.
I finished chemo #2 this afternoon around 5 PM. It was uneventful, for which the nurse and I were both grateful. The nurse, Johanne, was harried, after a long day, understaffed, and complications with patients. The nurses all help each other out, so a different nurse (no name tag and no introduction) finished the procedure for me. They all seem to be moving at high speed.
The doctor did reduce the dose of chemo a bit, so perhaps the side effects won't be as bad this time. The nurse thought it cruel to give dexamethasone at 4 PM because it will likely keep me up. Oh well. I think Netflix, a fire in the fireplace, and the comfy sofa are in my near future.
I'm now one quarter of the way through chemo. YAY! And I can definitely feel changes in the tumour; it is softer, not as turgid, smaller. That is very motivating!
Sending love. ❤️
